The New Year brings a time for new beginings and fresh starts. Time to get back to those remodel projects and plan new build-outs.

Lately I seem to keep getting the same questions from our customers..I want to update my kitchen but I'm afraid of choosing somthing that will "date" in a few years, what is timeless?

My answer to this is always the same. To do a "timeless" update choose simple lines, classic shapes and colors. Stay away from the "hot" fads and this seasons colors. We have all been into the house built in the seventies and never updated, it is stamped with the color and fads of that era. To avoid this pitfall stay with the classics.

Classic lines, forms and colors withstand the test of time and will be great now and ten years from now.

The three kitchens to the left all have classic elements in common though vary widely in style and feel. Notice the cabinets in simple clean lines, netural stainless, white or black appliences and lack of clutter.

These three kitchens use colors ranging from soft earth tones to warm seianna to cool sea tones. Three differant looks but all  are classic and timeless choices.

The countertops are classics  in black granite, carrera marble and santa ceceila granite with tumbled travertine backsplash.

These kitchens stand the test of time and are easy to"update" by simply changing the paint color.

Timeless classic easy to live in, these kitchens work for todays families.

SPRING IS THE TIME FOR SALES, be it new construction or resale. There is one thing all homes on the market need for a quick sale...STAGING.

SET THE STAGE FOR SALES
Home staging brings in buyers...

Have you ever walked into a beautifully decorated model home and been “wowed” by the visual display before you? Did you find yourself dreaming of unwinding in the spa-like master bath. Preparing gourmet meals in the state of the art kitchen or curling up with the latest novel in the cozy sunroom? If you have then you have been the successful target of home staging.

Building a home is largely an emotional decision because people are not buying just a house, but a dream, a lifestyle. Help them achieve their dream so they don’t have to rely completely on their imagination, impact how they react to your homes and see the results in more sales.

Do not think of staging as an underhanded way to fool clients, it’s simply taking advantage of the marketing used to sell any product. People want to be inspired, to live their dreams; they want to walk into a home and see themselves living in the space. They want to see themselves entertaining in the family room, having family dinners in the dining room, or family night in the game room.

Staging shows the best of what you as a builder have to offer the client, from the gourmet kitchen to,the spa bath, the paneled library, to the special features that set your home-line apart from other builders. Staging plays up what makes you unique, while giving the client a visual reference to communicate their desires in a new custom home.

Staging is widely used in new builder’s models, as well as a selling tool in resale homes and in design studios to showcase a designer’s work.

From cabin to castle everyone wants a “model” home...for more information about staging or any questions you may have contact me by e-mail or phone.
